Kauri Speech Competiton
A huge Congratulations to these four girls for winning the English speech competition this year!
First place went to Danae for her speech on Being grateful for all you have.
Second place went to Dinah for her speech on Why school is important.
Third place went to Fifita and Vika. Fifita's speech was Why you should do speeches and Vika's speech was about Why students should not bring cell phones to school.
What an awesome achievement to everyone who participated in the speech competition and to these four girls who put in lots of hard work. They worked on their speeches at home, they also persevered and took on feedback to practise and perform winning speeches. What really helped was that they picked speech topics that meant a lot to them and to their audience. But it was their attitudes that made the biggest difference, they really wanted to do their best and should be very proud of their achievement!

ReplyDeleteIt’s Danna in Room 4 at Wesley Primary School. I was also in the speech competition in the inter school one. You are right it was loads of fun. If you did not win it is not about that it is about how much fun you had and the experience you had and that is what my mom told me too.
